Cup Final Match Report
After a highly entertaining morning in Regents Park, London Tigers U10’s stepped up their performance to dominate the League Cup and take the competition by storm. With quality, quick, possession football being played at its highest this London Tigers team wouldn’t be short of anything but winning the Cup. The little Tigers found themselves up against a strong Peel FC opposition. The match started with London Tigers taking kick-off and pushing up straight away with Luke Faulkner striking the ball just wide of the goal going out for a goal-kick. Peel FC take the goal-kick and the Tigers start to put pressure on the Peel defence not allowing them enter the Tigers half, let alone put consecutive passes together. The ball falls to Simeon Akinjiola after a Peel clearance and he takes on the Peel defence with a couple step overs taking him pass the right back and allowing him to play the ball to central to Hamza Oubbad, then Hamza Oubbad switches the ball to Luke Faulkner on the wide right giving him the chance to whip in a cross to Haitam Ajban but he fails to hit the target with his right foot. After putting so much pressure on the Peel defence, London Tigers slipped up on there concentration and Peel broke on the left wing to attack the goal, with Hamza Taibi using his pace to make up ground and put in a quality challenge to put the ball out for a throw in. Peel take the throw in and give the ball straight back to Tigers, Omar Habashi then turns and plays the ball to Hassan Younis who switches the ball over to Nadir Jebari on the left, who attacks there right winger and plays it across to Hamza Oubbad and then he plays the ball to Luke Faulkner to whip across to Simeon Akinjiola to take a wild shot at goal just rising over the cross bar, then a min later he nearly lobs the keeper. The Peel keeper then plays a quick ball to their left back and who plays it central to there centre midfielder who plays a one touch pass to their left winger who paces past Hamza Taibi to cross the ball in at the by line for Hassan Younis to win a one on one with their striker. Tigers then break with Hassan Younis quickly throwing the ball out to Omar Habashi who quickly plays it to Nadir, who then plays it to Simeon. Simeon Akinjiola runs at their Right winger beating him with his quick feet and then goes one on one with their right back who knocks the ball out for a corner. The boy’s then push up for a corner starting from outside the box like they have been learning in training, Haitam Ajban whips in a low cross with Hamza Oubbad running in at the near post to knock the ball in the goal with his right foot. The Parents and London Tigers players jump up and down ecstatically in delight that we are winning one nil, then Hamza Oubbad celebrating with the players showing off his crazy legs dance with a cheeky smile on his face. Peel Kick-off and London Tigers win the ball wanting to get more goals but miss the target on many occasions. The Peel keeper takes the goal kick and the referee blows the whistle. The London Tigers Players quickly shake hands with the opposition and then they run around shouting and cheering with the parents.
