Overview

 

We equip disadvantaged communities with the skills and experience they need to improve their future prospects.

 

Throughout the centuries all over the world, sport has brought people together. People put we know that unemployment and lack of adequate training and skills are issues that our beneficiaries face continuously.

 

This is linked to a number of factors e.g. poor educational attainment earlier on in life, lack of ambition and positive role models or even just a lack of accessible employment support services.

 

London Tigers tackles this issue of unemployment faced by disadvantaged communities by supporting local people with the services they need and our work has been recognised by achieving the Matrix Standard for Information, Advice & Guidance.

 

Our Services

 

We run the following programmes:

 

  • Work Experience for students.
  • Internship Scheme, with University of Essex.
  • Apprenticeship Scheme within our organisation.
  • Volunteering Opportunities across London in a wide range of areas such as office administration, coaching, marketing and more.
  • Approved Sports Leaders UK Centre; we run Level 1, 2 and 3 Sports Leaders courses to prepare people to work in community settings.
  • Create jobs through new projects hiring local people.
