LONDON TIGERS BASKETBALL CLUB
London Tigers Basketball Club was created in 2008 and it is contributing for the development of the Basketball Sport in London. At the current moment, we have a Senior Female Team participating in the London Metropolitan League. In our first season the main goal is to promote the Basketball as a Sport within London area. We developed a programme for the current season in order to promote the sport and to increase the number of participants of the sport in London. Normally we have a home or away game per week and the areas are within London boroughs.

OBJECTIVES
Develop and promote London Tigers Basketball Club to increase awareness and the number of participants within London area of all ages and gender. The current Metropolitan Basketball League will finish around mid April. The Coach Team would like to prepare next season in full gear to be able to achieve positive goals at the end of next season, right after current season is over.

HOW
Creating two distinct groups of participants:
Group one: DEVELOPING AND LEARNING
Group two: IMPROVEMENT AND COMPETITION

TRIALS
The trials will occur in May of 2010 at the Little Venice Sports Centre for the senior Teams on the 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th of May.  The trials will give us a wide scope of participants in order to be able to create and develop group one and two in a more effective approach. The idea, if possible, is to create a Senior Basketball Team (Group Two) to compete and also to teach and improve the Developing& Learning group (Group One). At the end of the current season, the Coach Team will continue to have two training sessions (Wednesdays and Fridays) per week throughout the year until the beginning of 2010-11 season and furthermore organize a London Tigers Basketball Tournament in September.

TRAINING SESSION AND GAMES
Training
- Fridays from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Academy Sports Centre, 255 Harrow Road, London W2 5EZ

Training/Games - Wednesdays from 8pm to 10pm at Little Venice Sports Centre, 10 Crompton Street, London W2 1ND, depending on the League Calendar.

The Coach Team tend to focus on the basic fundamentals of the Basketball which includes learning skills level and also a more advance level of understanding of the Basketball game under a very friendly, sportsmanship, and enthusiastic environment.

JOINING THE CLUB
The sessions are open to everyone and it is free of charge. As part of next season’s plan, London Tigers Club will carry out four Basketball trials for the Female Basketball Senior Team in order to prepare for 2010-11 season.

Developing and Learning level is open throughout the year.
