Projects & Workshops
Our projects and programmes:
London Tigers is continuously looking for funds to sustain all programmes, so far we have been very lucky with the support from various initiatives and networks, our activities have been unique in the community.
We have carried out feedback surveys and have had unanimous support from within the community including parents and other organisations who have recognised the need for sporting activities which has been successful in tackling issues such as drugs misuse, crime, territorial feuds, anti social behaviour and promoting social inclusion, health and education.
Feedbacks from Children and Young people have been on regular basis and the numbers are increasing constantly.
We have over 500 members so far involved in all our programmes from over 60 nationalities such as: Bangladesh, Pakistan, Somalia, Morocco, Egypt, Sudan, Kosovo, Iraq, Italy, France, Ghana, Jamaica and England.
We are applying for Chartered standard for Football and are looking to develop more volunteers as coaches in other sports such as Cricket, Badminton.
We are currently in need of a fulltime sports worker to plan and organise constructive activities for 13-19 years and also a female Development worker to expand and organise the girls and women’s programme, currently these are run by either volunteers or part time coaches. There is a demand for these groups.
Finally we will be looking at working with people with disabilities in the near future, depending on availability of funding.
