Major Community Awards Winners
Since the inception of London Tigers we have been striving to always offer the best service possible. At the heart of this has always been the involvement of young people in the planning, delivery and evaluation of all activities and projects we undertake. This approach ensures the service provided is relevant and addresses the young people. This process has enabled the rapid development and growth of London Tigers from a small local sports organisation, to a regional young peoples’ organisation and a national Black Asian Minority Ethnic (BAME) sports organisation, involving over 2000 people from 63 nationalities in all our events and activities. This rapid growth and development has helped us get recognition from both local and national levels. Westminster Local Leadership Award London Tigers was nominated by the Local MP and councilors for our outstanding community work in particular with BAME groups. London Tigers were the inaugural winners in 2004 ahead of 70 other nominated organisations.
