Mental Health: Barriers and Taboo

Mental Health: Barriers and Taboo, aims to provide an overview of mental health, with a view to challenging some of the stigma, misconceptions and fear sometimes associated with it. You will hear from different professionals about the support they offer and how anyone can access this support. Speakers will discuss how their roles can include safeguarding individuals, children and families from risks such as self-harm, suicide, or situations where people may try to take advantage of vulnerabilities to exploit or radicalise others.

This is the sixth event organised by Baraka Community Association and its partners. These events address a range of topics raised by community members, enabling an informed and open discussion on the topics that matter to you.

This is an opportunity to hear from you, to share your experiences and ask any questions you may have. We look forward to you joining us for the event.
