Tigers support England at Wembley

Over 1,000 members of London Tigers enjoyed the opportunity to watch England play against Germany at Wembley Stadium in a World Cup friendly game on Friday 10th November. For most of them, it was their first ever experience of Wembley Stadium and watching a live professional football match.

London Tigers received the tickets courtesy of the FA. Members came from all over London including from Ealing, Brent, Westminster, Camden, Tower Hamlets, Newham and Redbridge and from a wide range of London Tigers services such as the sports clubs, youth clubs and health sessions. The opportunity enabled them to have an amazing experience they otherwise would not have had and they thoroughly appreciated the event.

“We would like to thank London Tigers and The FA on giving our women such a lovely event,” said Kuldeep Attwal, participant in one of London Tigers women’s fitness class. “Some of these women have never had the opportunity to experience this before due to cultural values or economic circumstances. We hope there will be more of these events for us to experience. We all had a brilliant time.”

“This meant so much to so many children and their families,” said Halima Siddika, London Tigers youth worker. “For some kids, this was definitely a means to have family time and to get away as a family so thank you to London Tigers and The FA.”
