On 17th October, 64 players participated in the 5th National Carrom Super Cup organised by East London Carrom Academy and sponsored by London Tigers.
Some players travelled hundreds of miles to participate in the tournament, showing great love for the game of Carrom, a traditional “strike and pocket” table game of Eastern origin. The competition was hosted in Northampton, with players travelling from Birmingham, Bournemouth, Eastborne, Harlow, Hyde, London, Milton Keynes and Oldham.
Salamur Rahman won the Carrom Super Cup 2017 and Rasel Ahmed came runners up.
A special thank you to Badol Ahmed from East London Carrom Academy for taking all the equipment to Northampton, organising the tournament and enabling people from the UK to celebrate this festival of Carrom.
