Thousands enjoy London Tigers Unity Festival

Over 3,000 people enjoyed free live performances, sports activities and browsing market stalls at the inaugural London Tigers Unity Festival on Sunday 16th July at London Tigers Sports Complex, Southall.

Headline artists included H Dhami, Maz and Ziggy Bonafide, Kadam Verma, amongst others. Families enjoyed bouncy castles, face painting, cricket and football activities, giant games such as Jenga and delicious food from local restaurant, Gifto’s. Stalls included local businesses and community organisations.

Local MP, Virendra Sharma and the Deputy Mayor of Harrow, Cllr Kairul Kareema Marikar attended as Chief Guests for the event. Even a short downpour of rain did not prevent people from staying at the event.

“London Tigers Unity Festival achieved its aim of bringing together people from different backgrounds to enjoy a day together and create a sense of community,” said Mesba Ahmed, CEO of London Tigers. “I’d like to thank our supporters: Ealing Council, Gifto’s, Middlesex County Cricket, Capital Kids Cricket, Southall Community Alliance, Venture Helpers and our media partners B4U Music, Channel S, LBTV, Sunrise Radio and to all the stallholders and sponsors.”

London Tigers Sports Complex runs sports sessions for the community and offers facilities for hire that include state of the art cricket nets, football pitches and an indoor hall with kitchen.
