Cricket Centre celebrate one year with awards

London Tigers Cricket Centre in Mymensingh held their first Annual Award Ceremony on 24th November 2012 at the Mymensingh Circuit House Ground. In attendance were the district Cricket officials, London Tigers Cricket coaches, county club secretary, London Tigers Cricket Coordinator for Bangladesh Saiful Alam Ranga and the Chief Guest was Mr Rabeth Khan, CEO of MACOMM the sponsor of the Cricket Centre in Mymensingh.

There are few players who selected to the Districts, Divisional and National junior squads from the project. The players who received award for outstanding performance from MACOMM London Tigers Cricket Centre, Mymensingh for the season 2011-2012 were: Under-14 batsman Asad ur Rahman Anik now selected for the U15 team, U14 all rounder Raihan Morshed Nijhum now selected for U15, U14 batsman Munim Shahriar Jummon now selected for the Under 16s Bangladesh National Team and have already toured India. All the players will receive education scholarships from MACOMM.

London Tigers thanks MACOMM for sponsoring and supporting Mymensingh Cricket Centre. The London Tigers Cricket Centres were opened last year. The Centres provide opportunities of progression from grassroots level to professional level for deprived but talented children to fulfil their dreams. The program is designed to support Bangladesh Cricket development from ground level to find hidden talents and link those young players to Clubs, Districts, Divisions along with BKSP, giving them a chance to shine as professional cricketers. The Cricket Centres are free for every student and also runs professional training workshops for coaches to provide better coaching.
